Arkxsite lancia un concorso internazionale per studenti e architetti under 40 per progettare un centro visitatori nei pressi del monumento megalitico Cromeleque dos Almendres, nella città di Guadalupe, in Portogallo.
Arkxsite is launching an international one-stage architecture competition and invites all architecture students, young architects and young professionals with a degree in architecture studies (≤ 40 years old) to develop and submit compelling ideas for the design of a contemporary Visitor Center located near the megalithic monument Cromeleque dos Almendres (stone circle) in the town of Guadalupe, in the region of Évora, Portugal.
The megalithic monument Cromeleque dos Almendres is a significant landmark on a prominent landscape, a place of great cultural heritage and historical significance with characteristics that must be fully preserved.
The Visitor Center aims to promote a unique experience within a remarkable landscape and provide a space for visitors to become engaged with the historical heritage, focusing on the significance of megalithic monuments and the establishment of Neolithic communities in the region. The design proposal must be highly sensitive to the megalithic enclosure.
