Orange - uno dei principali operatori di telecomunicazioni del mondo - lancia la sesta edizione del concorso "Orange Young Designers Competition" e invita giovani creativi e appassionati di design digitale a dare spazio alla loro creatività sul tema "Let's reinvent money with Orange", un'occasione per pensare al futuro delle questioni sociali, sognando un diverso futuro rapporto con il denaro.
Per partecipare al concorso è necessario candidarsi sul sito concours-design.orange.com entro il 30 giugno 2017 con una lettera di presentazione e un portafoglio con almeno 3 progetti. I selezionati prenderanno parte a due workshop supportati da squadre di esperti e designer dell'Orange Technocentre "xdlab" per aiutarli a sviluppare e a migliorare le loro proposte.
Constant Guisset, designer francese il cui lavoro si concentra sull'illusione visiva e la sorpresa, presiederà la giuria insieme al vice direttore generale dell'Accademia Orange Marc Rennard.
I premi di 10,000, 7,000 e 4,000 euro saranno assegnati ai primi tre classificati il 15 febbraio 2018. Tutti i progetti saranno esposti per diversi giorni in una prestigiosa location a Parigi.
Orange is launching the sixth edition of its Orange Young Designers competition "Let's reinvent money with Orange". It aims to use this international competition of ideas to promote creativity and create a new expressive space for recent design graduates and, for the first time, creatives, makers and digital enthusiasts with no degree requirements.
Throughout the competition, Orange works with the selected candidates to bring them the support of teams of experts and designers from the Orange Technocentre's "xdlab" to help them improve their proposals. That is this unique competition's originality and its strength. It encourages co-creation and open innovation, in support of young talents. To that end, a series of workshop will be held at each of the 3 international design schools partnering with this 6th edition of the competition. Two 2-day workshops will also be held for individual entrants at the Technocentre, located near Paris, the 16th and 17th of October 2017 and the 6th and 7th of November2017.
ELIGIBILITY
This competition is open to a very broad public.
To register, alone or as a pair, the only requirements are that you must:
- be a resident of mainland France (excluding overseas territories and departments), the European Union, or Switzerland.
- be between 18 and 30 years old be a recent design graduate or a creative, maker, or digital enthusiast with no degree requirements.
REGISTRATION
For recent design graduates and creatives, makers, and digital enthusiasts with no degree requirements registration are open from 22 May to 30 June 2017 at www.concours-design.orange.com. Applications approved will be notified on 13 July 2017.
SUBMISSION
Participants must submit required documents no later than 30 June 2017 by sending them at concours.design@orange.com.
PRIZES
The 3 best projects will receive prizes worth 10,000 euros, 7,000 euros and 4,000 euros at an awards ceremony during, the 15th of February, followed by an exhibition.
WORKSHOPS
For recent design graduates and creatives, makers, and digital enthusiasts with no degree requirements two 2-day workshops will take place on 16-17 October 2017 and 6-7 November 2017.
For students from the Competition #6 partner design schools the workshops will run from September through November 2017.
