Arquideas lancia il concorso internazionale di idee per studenti di architettura e giovani architetti Museum of the Ancient Nile (MoAN) Egypt, con il quale si richiede ai partecipanti di progettare un museo capace di immergere completamente i visitatori nella storia dell'Antico Nilo, trasformando il tour in una vera e propria esperienza per i turisti che desiderano conoscere lo sviluppo della civiltà egiziana
Grazie a una location privilegiata, lo spazio proposto diventerà una tappa obbligatoria per chi visiterà l'area del grande fiume, come se fosse un preambolo della storia, della mitologia, dei monumenti che la regione ospita. Il MoAN offrirà uno spazio espositivo destinato a diventare un punto di riferimento per il Nilo e sarà perfettamente integrato con il paesaggio che circonda la zona e che offre ai visitatori un'esperienza decisamente singolare.
Attraverso la competizione Arquideas vuole incoraggiare a partecipare nella discussione architettonica contemporanea, dando vita a una selezione di proposte qualitativamente elevate e capaci di ipotizzare valide soluzioni di design.
Arquideas is a community of students and young professionals working in the world of architecture and design whose main objective is to showcase the talent and creativity of its young members, thereby bridging the gap between the academic and professional spheres of architecture and design.
Through its competitions, Arquideas seeks to encourage its community to participate in current architectural discussion, generating a selection of quality proposals that can provide solutions to the different challenges set forth in the contests.
The objective of this competition for architecture students and young architects, Museum of the Ancient Nile (MoAN) Egypt, consists in conceiving of a museum that will submerge visitors in the ancient Nile and become an essential experience for tourists who wish to comprehend how Egyptian civilization proliferated. Thanks to its privileged location, the proposed space will become an obligatory stop for people visiting the river, as a preamble to the history, mythology and monuments that the region contains. A global focal point for tourism that is capable of transmitting the importance of the ancient Nile for the history of Humanity. The MoAN will provide an exhibition space that is a reference point for the Nile, integrated into the landscape and offering visitors a singular experience.
ELIGIBILITY
This competition is open to international undergraduate and graduate students and recent graduate of architecture or related degrees, individually or in teams made up of a maximum of four members.
Recent graduate means a person graduated with in the two years before the competition launching, this is, all graduated in 2015 or later.
Teams will pay a single registration fee, regardless of the number of team members. Each participant can only present one proposal, whether as an individual or part of a team.
REGISTRATION AND FEES
Participants must register through www.arquideas.net no later than September 22nd, 2017.
Registration fees are the following:
- Early registration
(May 24th, 2017 to June 30th, 2017)
50 euros: individual registration
75 euros: team registration (from 2 to 4 members) - Regular registration
(July 1st, 2017 to September 22nd, 2017)
75 euros: individual registration
100 euros: team registration (from 2 to 4 members)
SUBMISSION
The proposals should be uploaded through the webpage www.arquideas.net no later than October 6th, 2017.

The following prizes will be awarded to proposals that best meet the purpose of the competition:

Digital publication in Plataforma Arquitectura + Digital publication in Arquitectura Viva + Digital publication in WA Wettbewerbe Aktuell + Digital publication in The AAAA Magazine. - The Arquideas Special Prize will be given, awarded with 500 euros, to the proposal with more votes from Arquideas Community users, among winners, honourable mentions and the finalist projects.
EXHIBITION
All of the proposals presented by participants will be part of a virtual exhibition on our web site www.arquideas.net, with a special focus on the top three prizes, the honourable mentions, the finalists and the Arquideas Special Prize.
